A whole chat page: threads down one side with a menu on each, the model and its mark in the bar, a thread that follows a streaming reply, and a composer that takes files and stops the reply it started.

My panel is see-through on light and solid on dark. Same component.

The dark fill never got its alpha. bg-background/70 dresses the light theme alone, so a bare dark:bg-background lands underneath it at full strength. Give the dark rule the same alpha and the panel stays glass in both.

And the border?

Lighten it to match: border-border/40. A solid edge around a translucent fill reads as a card with a hole cut in it.
